Astrophytum Seed Mix – myriostigma, ornatum, asterias, coahuilense, tricostatum & hybrids

A blended assortment of Astrophytum seed from our own parent plants: myriostigma (including variegated forms), ornatum, tricostatum, coahuilense, asterias, and assorted hybrids between them. Every pack is a random mix, so proportions vary by batch and some seedlings will be surprises — that's the point of a mix.

Astrophytums are among the most rewarding cacti to grow from seed: spineless or lightly spined, geometric, flecked with white, and quick to show their character. Variegated and hybrid seedlings may take a year or more to reveal what they are.

Germination is moderate-easy. Surface-sow on a fine, well-draining mix, keep warm (75–85°F) with high humidity for the first two weeks, and expect germination in 7–21 days.

What you'll receive: Fresh seed hand-harvested from the flowering parent plants pictured, with germination instructions included. Photos show mature parent plants for reference; the first image is an illustration of the forms in the mix.
