Obregonia denegrii – Artichoke Cactus Seeds
Obregonia denegrii, the artichoke cactus, is a flat rosette of overlapping triangular tubercles over a thick taproot, 4–8 inches across, from a single valley in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Endangered in the wild and slow in cultivation — a decade or more to flower on its own roots — it's a collector's plant that can only be owned legally by growing it from seed.
Germination
Moderate. Germination in 10–30 days; seedlings are tiny and slow, and need a long stay in the humid tray before hardening off.
What you'll receive
Fresh seed from our own parent plants, in the pack size you choose, with germination instructions included. Photos show parent plants or seedlings for reference.
Care
Full sun to bright light, sparing water, deep mineral mix, keep above freezing.
